Exploring secret places

Yesterday I needed a break from studying the whole weekend. Several assignments as well as some voluntary stuff made me work a lot on Friday and Saturday. Therefore, on Sunday, Fabian and me joined Julia and Guan Yu to explore Sentosa a bit further. They read in an article about a secret beach on the Island. After lunch we took the bus and the MRT to get to Sentosa. The beach was supposed to be hidden at the very end of the island, so we walked quite a bit. It was difficult to reach it, but we finally found it. It was very small and is completely dependent on the tide level. Since it was high tide during our arrival the beach was very small and completely wet, so we decided to go to the normal beach. The water was nice and warm and we saw many fish this time. In addition we tried to solve several riddles for fun. One was really difficult and we started drawing possible solutions in the sand and couldn't find the right answer. But by now we know how it works. Maybe you want to solve it yourself:

"You own 20$ and want to buy beer. One bottle costs you 2$. If you return one empty bottle, you get 1$ back. If you return a cap, you get 50ct back. How many bottles can you get in total?"

After we spend some time at the beach we went to Holland village to get the best waffles possible with a lot of chocolate and ice cream. It was a very nice cafe offering good food. We then continued to Julia's place and enjoyed some instant noodles. I tried the spicy version and was quite surprised how spicy noodles can be.Later I learned playing "Reversi", a game that requires a lot of strategic thinking. It was great fun and can only recommend it! For the rest of the evening we watched the movie "About time". I was surprised that it was that good even though it was kind of a romantic movie. In the end Fabian and me took the bus back to UTown.
