Cloud Forest & Flower Dome

Today we went to one other famous touristy place in Singapore: The Conservatories. They consist of the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome. As the names suggest, the Cloud Forest presents many different kinds of trees from all over the world. this includes even some German ones and many Mediterranean olive trees. We saw many awesome combinations of plants as well as a pretty waterfall. Furthermore we enjoyed staying in there because of the refreshing climate. Felt like a day in autumn in Germany.
The Flower Dome contained many colorful flowers. A lot of them I have never seen before. They also arranged some plants to form a piece of art relating to the Singaporean history and birthday. There was also a live band playing music. What we noticed a lot throughout both conservatories was the high number of wooden figures and sculptures between the flowers and trees. They made the trip an awesome memory and it is definitely worth going there. It is not the cheapest thing to do (S$20 for locals), but the experience is worth it. And after going there it is just a short walk to the best spot in Singapore to see the town's skyline. It was the first time we went there, but we will definitely come back in order to take more and better pictures. It was a great day to relax a bit from studying.
