Little India and Lazarus Island

Sooooo.... Since the second week of University is already over we thought that we deserved a break this weekend. First of all Fabian and me visited little India again on Thursday, but this time in more detail.... To be honest: It is not that special here, even though one tourist we met said it would look exactly like streets in India. I think the most interesting attractions are the different temples, but we were not suitably clothed. So we will need to return in order to visit them.

Today we woke up at 6.30 am in order to catch a ferry to Lazarus Island. It belongs to the Singaporean territory and is famous for much clearer water than the Singaporean coast. It was the first time I went by boat here, but it was fun somehow and took around 30 minutes. When we arrived we were pretty impressed by the nature on the Island. Some parts still look like left-alone jungles and are many wild cats running around. It took a bit to get to the beach but it was worth it. Most of the beach was really clean and the water was much clearer than at Sentosa (still not totally clear, but well...). We first went for a refreshing swim and took some nice pictures. Later we put sun screen on and relaxed in the sun. Philipp and Peter played chess with cards (Just have a look at the uploaded pictures). There were not many people there even though some private boats arrived at the beach later. All in all it was a really great day and I am definitely getting more tanned!  Tonight is going to be a very short night, because tomorrow we are going to meet with Julia and Guan Yu (her boyfriend, I forgot to mention his name last time) again to get to Pulau Ubin. They want to show us around the Island.  They are so nice to us and we are happy to have them as friends!
