Trying the Durian fruit

I know I only posted yesterday, but since I will be busy during the weekend I want to make sure that I do not forget about today. It started like a typical one (If you can say "typical" after one week). So we went to the gym first and took a swim in the pool afterwards. For us this is a perfect start. For lunch we headed to Chinatown. Besides a nice a nice dish we enjoyed walking along all the small shops that were around and offered really cheap (and most likely fake) products. At one shop we decided to stop. It's name was "Durian History". The owners sold the Singaporean Durian fruit and many other products made out of it. We asked the woman making Durian pancakes whether they would taste good and she simply nodded. Well... all of us came to Singapore to try something new and therefore we bought one pancake each. I think Philipp's face explains everything. We others at least tried to smile while eating it but actually we all felt like him. To be honest: Nobody managed to finish his cake. Nevertheless, we will try the rare fruit soon! Maybe it is better. When we came back we tried the washing machine for the first time and even though it took only 36 minutes our clothes were really clean! In the late afternoon Philipp and me decided to go for our first run in Singapore. Even though it was mainly along our campus and through some nearby parks, we were extremely exhausted afterwards (after running roughly 6 kilometers). But we are both up to try it again soon. Maybe we will have to do it later at night or very early in the morning... We will see!
